This Privacy Policy applies to the Open 360 Camera mobile
application (the "Application") developed and operated by Navendu's
Lab (the "Service Provider"). We respect your privacy and are
committed to protecting it through transparent practices.
1. Summary & Core Principle: 100% Offline & Private
Open 360 Camera is engineered with a local-first,
privacy-by-design architecture:
- The
Application does not require and does not request Internet access (android.permission.INTERNET).
- All
image capturing, sensor processing, 360° spherical stitching, video
rendering, and viewing are performed exclusively on your device.
- We do
not collect, transmit, store on external servers, monetize, or sell your
personal information, photographs, location data, or device identifiers.
2. Information Collection and Device Permissions
To deliver 360° photography and video creation features, the
Application requests minimal local device permissions:
a. Camera Permission (android.permission.CAMERA)
- Use: Allows
the camera sensor to provide a live viewfinder preview and capture
high-resolution photos for stitching into spherical panoramas.
- Handling: Camera
data is processed strictly in temporary device memory (RAM) and stored to
your local storage. No camera feeds or captured images are ever
transmitted off your device.
b. Location Permission (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) (Optional)
- Use: If
granted, the Application uses your device's GPS solely to write
geographical coordinates (latitude and longitude) into the standard EXIF
metadata of the photos you take.
- Handling: Location
data is embedded only inside the image file on your local device. We never
transmit, log, track, or share your location with any server or third
party. You can decline this permission at any time and the camera will
still function normally without geotagging.
c. Motion Sensors (Gyroscope & Accelerometer)
- Use: Used
in real time for camera orientation, guided reticle alignment dots during
360° capture rounds, and gyro navigation in the interactive 360° sphere
viewer.
- Handling: Sensor
information is processed locally in real time and is never stored
permanently or shared.
d. Storage & Media Access
- Use: Required
to save your stitched 360° panoramas and exported 9:16 videos directly to
your device's media storage (Pictures / Movies).
- Handling: Files
remain under your complete control in your device's local gallery.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Application does not use cookies, tracking
pixels, device fingerprinting, or web beacons. Because the Application
operates completely offline without network capabilities, no digital tracking
technologies are deployed.
4. Third-Party Services & SDKs
- No
Analytics SDKs: The Application does not contain third-party
behavioral analytics or telemetry SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics, Google
Analytics, Adjust, or AppsFlyer).
- No
Advertising Networks: The Application does not include
advertisements or ad-tracking networks (such as Google AdMob or Unity
Ads).
- Platform
Services: The Application is distributed via the Google Play
Store, which is operated by Google LLC. Google Play Services may collect
standard OS-level download and crash telemetry as governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Third-Party Access & Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, rent, or transfer your personal data
or captured media to outside parties.
We may disclose information only if strictly required:
- By
Law: To comply with a valid subpoena, court order, or applicable
legal obligation;
- Safety
& Protection: When we believe in good faith that disclosure
is necessary to protect our legal rights, your safety, or the safety of
others;
- However,
because we do not collect or store your photos or personal data on any
server, we do not possess your content to share or disclose.
6. International Data Transfers
Because all data processing occurs locally on your personal
device without server uploads, the Service Provider does not transfer
your personal data across international borders.
7. Data Retention and Deletion Policy
- On-Device
Data: All photos, stitched spheres, raw camera frames (if
enabled), and exported videos remain stored locally on your device storage
for as long as you choose to keep them.
- User
Deletion: You have full ownership and can delete your media at
any time using your device gallery, file manager, or from within the
Application.
- Uninstalling: Uninstalling
the Application removes its internal application cache and local app data.
8. Your Rights (GDPR & Global Privacy Laws)
Depending on your jurisdiction (including the European
Economic Area / UK under the GDPR), you have specific statutory rights
regarding personal data:
- Right
to Access: You have the right to know what personal data is
processed (as described, no personal data is collected on remote servers).
- Right
to Erasure / Deletion: You can erase all data at any time by
deleting photos from your device or uninstalling the Application.
- Right
to Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw Camera or Location
permissions at any time via your Android device's Settings >
Apps > Open 360 Camera > Permissions.
- To
submit any privacy inquiries, you may contact the Service Provider
at
startupedu01@gmail.com.
9. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, under the California
Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Right
to Know: You have the right to request disclosure of what
categories of personal information are collected.
- No
Sale or Sharing: We do not sell and do
not share your personal information with third parties for
cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Non-Discrimination: We
will never discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy
rights.
- Requests: You
may contact us at
startupedu01@gmail.com for any inquiries under
California privacy law.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Application is not directed to children under 13 years
of age (or under 16 where required by applicable local law). Because the
Application does not collect or transmit personal information, we do not
knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children. If a parent or
guardian has questions regarding privacy practices, please contact us at
startupedu01@gmail.com.
11. Security Safeguards
We care deeply about the security of your content. Because
the Application operates completely on-device without cloud sync or network
connections, your images and videos are shielded from external web
vulnerabilities, transmission interception, and remote server breaches. We
advise users to maintain device-level security (screen locks, biometric
authentication, and up-to-date OS security patches) to protect data saved
locally.
12. Data Breach Notification
In the unlikely event of any security incident within our
direct systems or services that impacts personal data under our control, we
will promptly notify affected users and regulatory authorities in accordance
with applicable legal requirements.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect
app updates or legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted here with
an updated "Effective Date." We encourage you to review this Privacy
Policy periodically.
